PRIVACY POLICY

1. Acceptance of Privacy Policy as a prerequisite to using Website.

Welcome to www.PathwaysWV.org (the “Website”), operated by Community Access, Inc., a West Virginia nonprofit 501(c)(3) (“Community Access”). By accessing and using the Website, you give your consent to: (a) The collection and use of information as outlined in this Privacy Policy (the “Policy”); and (b) the Terms and Conditions of Usage. Please take a few minutes to read the Policy, as well as the Terms and Conditions of Usage, before using the Website.

The Policy does not cover information collected on third party websites that are linked to from the Website. You should carefully check each website to learn its privacy policy because that website’s policy may differ from Community Access’s Policy in very significant ways. For example, other websites may solicit personal information and then disseminate it without your permission. Community Access is not responsible for the privacy policies, practices or content of other websites you may visit.

2. Collection and use of information.

Community Access only collects personally identifying information (“PII”) with your specific knowledge and consent. For instance, when you register for our services or complete a survey, you are asked to provide PII such as your email address, name, mailing address, and phone number. Optional PII information such as your age or gender may also be requested.

Community Access uses your PII to provide you with the service you have requested. For example, if you subscribe to an online job search through the Website, Community Access will use your e mail address to send relevant information to you. Similarly, if you purchase a product or service, Community Access will use the PII to fulfill your order. Community Access may use the PII it collects in order to communicate with you about new features, products or services.

In addition to the PII that you divulge, Community Access may collect and analyze information from your computer or mobile device relating to your access and usage of the Website. This information includes, but is not limited to, the type of mobile device or computer used to access the Website, the IP address, the browser you use, and the domain name from which you accessed the Website. In addition, Community Access may record and analyze certain actions, such as the date and times the Website was used, clicks, page views, and the amount of time you spend on a page. Community Access uses such information in order improve the features, products and services that Community Access offers, to advance the “Pathways to Progress” program, as well as to help diagnose and troubleshoot any problems.

You may create an account on the Website and may later delete the account. If you delete the account, you will no longer have the ability to access the account. Your deletion of the account does not automatically affect the information in Community Access’s possession; Community Access has the right to retain any information that you have provided or that Community Access has collected and to use that information for all lawful purposes consistent with this Policy and the Terms and Conditions of Usage. Community Access also has the right to permanently delete such information without providing any prior notice.

3. Children may not divulge PII.

No information should be submitted to or posted at the Website by users under 13 years of age without the consent of their parent or guardian. Community Access does not knowingly collect or use any information from users under 13 years of age.

4. Our use of "cookies."

Cookies are files of information that are placed by a website in a storage place on your own computer. Community Access may place a “Cookie” in the browser files of your computer. Community Access uses Cookies to control the display of information, to track usage patterns on the Website, and to record registration and personalization information. For example, if you register for certain services, you can opt to save your user name and password on your computer. Community Access can only provide this convenience by placing a Cookie on your computer.

The Cookie itself does not contain any PII, although it will allow Community Access to relate a user’s use of the Website and the information contained therein in making statistical calculations.

Some of our affiliates, partners or agents may occasionally use Cookies. Community Access does not have control over Cookies placed by third parties. If you don’t want Cookies, your Web browser likely includes an option that will allow you to reject the placement of Cookies on your computer. Community Access does not recommend that you use this option to block all Cookies; doing so may prevent you from using some of the features of the Website.

Google Analytics and Google AdWords

The Pathways to the Future website gathers visitor information for remarketing or similar features to advertise online.
Third party vendors, including Google, show Pathways to the Future ads on sites across the Internet.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on the user's past visits to the website.

Visitors can opt out of Google's use of cookies by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
Visitors can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

5. Sharing information.

Community Access does not share PII which readily identifies you, such as your name, street address, telephone number or e-mail address, with any third party unless Community Access first has your consent. Your consent may be implied by your request for goods or services which cannot be provided without revealing PII to the source of those goods or services (such as a request that certain information or goods be shipped to you). Notwithstanding the foregoing, Community Access reserves the right to share your PII with its “Pathways to the Future” partners, affiliates and agents. Community Access further reserves the right to use third-party providers for Website hosting, data storage and other services; those entities will be required to treat your PII with a commercially reasonable level of security and confidentiality, although their specific obligations may differ from this Policy,

Please be aware that Community Access complies with the law and will provide PII about you in response to a subpoena, a statute, a court order or a valid legal process. In addition, Community Access may reveal PII about you to a third person if necessary to prevent or remedy any breach by you of Community Access’s Terms and Conditions of Usage, to protect the personal safety of Community Access’s users, employees, or the public, and to prevent potentially illegal activities.

Community Access may share aggregate information about the Website’s users to third parties. This aggregate information may include (but is not limited to) such information as how often the average user visits our Website, which terms are most commonly used in searches, and which sites are visited most often. Community Access may contact you via surveys to ascertain your opinion of our services or of potential new services that Community Access may offer. In addition, Community Access may occasionally contact you on behalf of its “Pathways to the Future” affiliates, partners and agents about certain features, products and services which may interest you.

6. Security.

Community Access will use reasonable security methods to safeguard your PII but cannot and does not guarantee that there will never be a security breach and unauthorized access to your PII.

7. Modifications to the Privacy Policy

At its sole discretion, Community Access may change the Policy, with or without prior notice to you. When Community Access does make changes, it will post those changes on the Website. Any changes to the Policy will become effective on the “Last Updated” date indicated at the top of the Policy. Please check the Policy from time to time so that you may be aware of any changes.

8. Disputes

Any disputes regarding the Policy, as well as any disputes arising from your use of this Website, are governed by Community Access’s Terms and Conditions of Usage.
